We are writing to invite you to submit your manuscripts for publication in Volume 53.
Millennium: Journal of International Studies is a peer-reviewed journal with an impact factor of 1.750 that publishes critical and boundary-pushing articles from the discipline of International Relations, as well as original thinking from elsewhere in the social sciences with a global dimension. We welcome challenging and innovative contributions that articulate alternative theoretical and epistemological perspectives, (re)think established critical IR discourses and/or explore subject areas with which IR has had little or no serious engagement. Millennium strives to be a place of intellectual pluralism and diversity. We encourage submissions from junior academics and established scholars alike, and offer a forum in which scholars of international studies can engage in dialogue across boundaries, borders, continents, departments, and academic disciplines.
Original Manuscripts (9,000-12,000 words)
Millennium welcomes original articles on any topic within International Relations or related areas of study aligned with our editorial mandate as described above. For further information on submission guidelines for original manuscripts, please see here.
Review Articles (4,000 words)
Millennium welcomes review articles which interrogate recent, exciting work on International Relations theory and related fields. Review articles focusing on untranslated books are particularly welcome. Review articles should develop an original argument and assess between three to five recently published academic works which share a common theme and/or debate, and collectively represent an emerging dialogue.
Please submit a 500-word proposal justifying the book selection and outlining central aims of the review article. For further information on submission guidelines for review articles, please see here.
